Title: Authorizes Caps for Medical Malpractice Lawsuits to Increase
Vote to pass a bill that authorizes an increase in caps for medical malpractice lawsuit values.
Specifies that current law only allows for medical malpractice lawsuits to only be brought against a care provider for up to $350,000 regardless of circumstances (Sec. 2).
Specifies that this value will increase $80,000 each year on January 1, through 2028 and increased by 2.1% on January 1 of each following year (Sec. 2).
Specifies that the Nevada Supreme Court is required to publish the maximum amount of noneconomic damages that may be awarded each year for the following 20 years (Sec. 3).
