Ted is Leading!

Press Release

Whether it is on national security, on marriage, or on a whole host of issues important to courageous conservatives across our nation, Ted is leading the fight.

Just yesterday morning, Ted was in Las Vegas where he discussed his efforts to promote U.S. national security, our relationship with the nation of Israel, and efforts to stop a nuclear Iran with the Republican Jewish Coalition.

From there, he flew to Waukee, Iowa, to join the Iowa Faith and Freedom Coalition to talk about his vision for protecting religious liberty and marriage, where again, he has been leading. On Thursday, Ted filed the Restoration of Marriage Amendment and the Protect Marriage from the Courts Act to guarantee the American people's right to define marriage as the union of one man and one woman. Ted got a great reaction to his remarks from the Iowans in the crowd -- click here to watch the video.

On Tuesday, Ted joined Congressman Paul Ryan of Wisconsin to write an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal in support of establishing trade-promotion authority to strengthen the bargaining position of the United States in upcoming trade agreement negotiations. You can read the op-ed here.

And on Friday, Ted led once again. He was the first candidate for President to call on Hillary Clinton to return all donations made by foreign governments to the Clinton Foundation. As Ted said, "the Clinton Foundation collected tens of millions of dollars from foreign governments including donors who had business interests with the State Department while Clinton was Secretary. She made decisions in that capacity that likely benefited the same people who were giving large donations to the foundation. At the very least, these revelations present a clear conflict of interest. I call on Hillary Clinton to return the donations from foreign governments. Until she does, how can the American people trust her with another position of power?"

As always, we thank you for your support, and for those of you in South Carolina, we hope you'll be able to join Ted at next weekend's State Convention!
