Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) released the following statement today ahead of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

"I want to wish a blessed and peaceful Ramadan to the millions of Muslims around the world who will begin fasting tomorrow. Ramadan is a time for reflection, renewal, and a commitment to charity. It's also an opportunity for Muslims and non-Muslims to open a dialogue. My prayers this Ramadan will be with those fighting for human rights around the world.

"During this holy month, let us all renew our commitment to equality, peace and justice. Ramadan Mubarak."
