Nathaniel grew up working on local farms, hauling hay and working on a poultry farm. Agriculture is a trademark of the South, and is a part of our heritage. He knows how hard farmers work, and wants to ensure the financial well-being of these family-owned small businesses for generations to come.
In 2010, he helped develop the Northeast Alabama Agri-Business Center, and serves on its board of advisers. The Agri-Business Center is the vision of a group of local business and civic-minded people who saw a a need for a cultural, entertainment and community affairs facility for the City of Rainsville, DeKalb County, and the extended region around Northeast Alabama. The facility is a state of the art complex, and is constructed on a 43.5 acre tract adjacent to a city owned recreational complex.
Nathaniel encouraged TVA to include poultry farms in the business incentive program of changing incandescent bulbs to led bulbs, helping to get over $300,000 in rebates, and saving area poultry farms over $200,000 a year in utility costs.
He would like to thank his endorsement by the DeKalb Alabama Farmers Federation.
