Location: Washington, DC

Senator John Hoeven today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded more than $2 million in additional Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) funding for fiscal year (FY) 2015 to help low-income North Dakotans heat their homes. The funding includes about $540,000 for tribes in the state.

"In North Dakota, we understand the extra financial burden every household faces in the depths of winter," said Hoeven. "This LIHEAP award will help ensure that families across our state and on the reservations can pay their bills and keep their homes warm."
