Today, Representative Steven Horsford (NV-4) released the following statement in recognition of Labor Day:

"Each September, we recognize and thank the workers who have built this country. The labor movement in the United States forever changed the future of America. Our citizens fought for their constitutional rights, formed labor unions, and cemented worker's rights as a cornerstone of our diverse workplaces.

"Today, working families deserve an economy that works for everyone, not just the privileged few. We need action in Congress to help jumpstart the middle class though good paying jobs, affordable education, and workplace fairness.

"We must ensure that workers can still achieve the American Dream by supporting our nation's workers and labor unions. We have come a long way, but there is much more to do."
