Working to Support Flood Victims:
Representative Taylor spent the summer of 2008 helping flood victims clean up from the treacherous floods of 2008. The following legislative session he fought to pass disaster relief legislation to appropriate millions of dollars to needy flood victims. In 2009 Representative Taylor urged the legislature to approve almost $450 million in disaster funding to help Iowa rebuild stronger and than before.

Fighting for Education:
Representative Taylor co-sponsored legislation that reduced class sizes across Iowa three years in a row, brought technology into our classrooms, and helped to reduce a 10-year decline in fourth grade student reading skills.

Working Hard for Working Families:
Todd Taylor sponsored legislation which would make a living wage mandatory and co-sponsored legislation which would ensure safe and secure pensions. He fought for retaining programs for those people who are out of work, need to change careers or re-enter the workforce.

On the Side of Seniors:
As a Commissioner of Iowa's Department of Elder Affairs, Todd Taylor sponsored legislation which would improve senior care facilities and make Hospice accessible to more people.
