As a 33 year veteran of the steel industry, Al knows firsthand how important blue-collar workers are within Ohio. Ohio has been blessed with the opportunity to become a leader in Oil and Natural Gas, which has the potential to create upwards of 200,000 jobs in Eastern Ohio alone. Energy jobs have great promise to help our district surge economically. While serving as a member of the Agriculture and Natural Resources committee, he fought for landowners and businesses by bringing oil and natural gas jobs to Ohio, despite stiff opposition from some in Columbus. Al recognizes the need to harness this power while still keeping the water and the environment safe.
