Ryan has consistently earned the support and endorsement of the PA Pro-Life Federation and the National Rifle Association for his commitment and leadership on traditional conservative issues. In Harrisburg, he is a member of the House Pro-Life Caucus. A lifelong resident of Lancaster County, Ryan understands and shares our conservative values.

- Staunchly pro-life, Ryan authored an amendment to strengthen proposed legislation to require an ultrasound before any abortion can be performed -- even as other legislators were running away from the fight. Ryan is also active with local pro-life organizations and is a strong supporter of the March for Life.

- An avid gun enthusiast, Ryan will always preserve our Second Amendment freedoms -- which is why he would not let the tragic shootings in Newtown, MA, be used by anti-gun liberals for their cheap political purposes.

- Ryan also believes in the sanctity of traditional marriage -- and has opposed efforts to change marriage from being defined as anything other than one man and one woman.
