Issue Position

Two sessions ago, we passed legislation to encourage the development of larger holdings of the state's water. We need to do more and invest more in water. I really believe -- and I have written this before -- that water will be the principal public policy discussion of the West over the next decade.

We need to do everything we can to protect ourselves from legal attack, and protect and store our water. I commend this governor for his efforts on that front, and intend to lean into the blocking sled with him to do everything we can to develop a sound water strategy.
