Issue Position

Our children and families are a gift that must be protected and cherished. As the Attorney General, I pledge to aggressively prosecute and use the full resources of the office to enhance punishment against those who perpetrate crimes against children.

Protecting families and children also means protecting their ability to receive an education consistent with the values of their parents. Parents are the ultimate authority when it comes to the education of their children. As Attorney General, I am committed to keeping educational decisions as close to home and as local as possible. I am an advocate for parental choice and school choice. When several local schools districts failed to recognize the choice provided to parents of disabled children, I made sure their choice was recognized and enforced the law.

Parents are the ultimate authority when it comes to the education of their children. Their greatest influence is in the home and then with their local school board.
