Congressman Tim Griffin (AR-02) today issued the following statement in honor of Independence Day:

"As a child my parents took me to Lexington, Concord and Philadelphia, and almost 40 years later, I continue to reflect with awe and reverence on the sacrifice our Founders and so many other Americans made to establish a country based on freedom. While we celebrate this weekend, let us honor our Founders' sacrifice by teaching our children and grandchildren to cherish and protect the freedoms we enjoy. I wish everyone a blessed and safe Independence Day."
