According to the US Constitution, all powers not expressly given to the federal government are given to the states or the people. Washington DC, and often Lansing, demonstrate that they have forgotten that responsibility. Any matters that can be retained by the states or the people should be; the people of Michigan should not give up their rights. Michigan's rights should be asserted when Washington DC chooses to overreach its authority.
