Location: Eden, NC

Rockingham District Attorney and Congressional candidate Phil Berger has received the endorsement of Guilford County Commissioner Linda Shaw. "Guilford County needs an experienced representative who can solve problems and deliver results. Phil is the only candidate in the race with a proven track record of action and reform and that is why I am lending him my full support," Commissioner Shaw said. "Phil kept his promises in the prosecutor's office and I know he will keep his promises as our next Congressman in Washington. I urge all my fellow Republicans to join me in voting for Phil on July 15th."

"I am grateful to have earned Commissioner Shaw's endorsement," Phil Berger said. "Linda has been a terrific servant of our community these past decades, both as a County Commissioner and as an executive member of the Republican National Committee. She has earned enormous respect from her peers at the local, state, and national level, showing that she can work with all sides without compromising on her principles. I thank her for her support and pledge to follow her example of leadership and service."

Linda Shaw has been a member of the Guilford County Board of Commissioners since 1998, and served as the Board's Chair from 2012-2013. She was elected by her peers as Secretary of the Republican National Committee, a position which she held from 1996 to 2000. In 2000 she was Secretary for the Republican National Convention when then-Governor George W. Bush was chosen as the Republican presidential nominee. She was appointed to the Presidential Scholars Commission by President George W. Bush in 2004 and served until 2009. She has served on numerous other boards and was recently appointed to the Piedmont Triad Airport Authority.
