Rokita Protects Seniors and Doctors With Permanent SGR Repeal

Today Rep. Todd Rokita voted to permanently repeal the Sustainable Growth Rate (SGR) in Medicare, which will protect seniors and the doctors that treat them:

"Because our doctors are the necessary ingredient in maintaining a quality health care system, the looming 24 percent cut to doctors' reimbursement rates is unacceptable. This legislation preserves seniors' access to health care services and protects doctors so they can continue to treat patients who use the publicly assisted health care system called Medicare.

To prevent expanding the federal deficit and adding to our $17 trillion national debt, this legislation is fully paid for by delaying the implementation of ObamaCare's individual mandate tax," Rokita said.
