The greatest crisis facing our country today is the mounting debt that we are leaving our children and grandchildren. We must live within our means. The government's role has changed from a backstop to protect us and provide for us when in dire need, to offense where it will make decisions for us, direct the economy and provide for all our needs at the expense of the taxpayer. That is why we are in debt to the tune of roughly $46,000 per citizen. We must reign in the spending.
