A lifelong resident of Fairfax County, I spent countless hours playing in Pimmit Run - chasing minnows, building dams, skipping rocks, and building rope swings when I was a kid. One of the things that makes Northern Virginia so unique is that even as we've become more urban, we continue to value and try to preserve our green spaces. I am thrilled that my current home is also on Pimmit Run, so my kids will be able to grow up enjoying and learning how to appreciate nature. As your representative I will fully support measures promoting clean air and clean water to protect our quality of life.

Clean air and clean water are not just beneficial for our families; they also help our economy. A recent government study calculated that for every $1 spent by a polluter to control emissions, Americans receive $30 in benefits ranging from lower health care costs to attracting workers who want to reside where they are employed. As a member of the General Assembly, I will continue Delegate Jim Scott's environmental legacy and will be a strong advocate for economic growth with environmental protections that preserve and support our natural environment
