37th Time is not the Charm: Horsford Opposes Repeal of Affordable Care Act

Statement

Representative Steven Horsford (NV-4) released the following statement after opposing the 37th attempt by House Republicans to repeal the Affordable Care Act:

"The Affordable Care Act was passed by the Congress, signed by the President, and upheld by the Supreme Court. Still, the House GOP is determined to waste taxpayer resources to repeal health care provisions that lower drug costs for over 22,000 Nevada seniors, allow 33,000 young adults in Nevada to stay insured, and provide 391,000 Nevada women free preventative care. Instead of passing jobs legislation to get our nation back to work, Republicans are obsessed with re-litigating the past. The Affordable Care Act is the law of the land and we should work to implement it effectively, not repeal it."
