Congressman Tim Walz has been named Vice-Chair of the Congressional Sportsmen's Caucus (CSC), a bipartisan group of more than 250 Members of Congress. Rep. Walz is joined by Co-Chairs Rep. Robert Latta (R-OH) and Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS), as well as Vice-Chair Rep. Rob Wittman (R-VA) in the CSC House leadership.

"As a life-long hunter and outdoorsman, I am honored and excited to help lead this important caucus. I look forward to working with my fellow sportsmen in Congress to protect our natural state treasures and promote our strong hunting and fishing heritage," said Walz.

Jeff Crane, President of the Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation stated, "I want to thank Representative Tim Walz for assuming a leadership position in the bipartisan Congressional Sportsmen's Caucus (CSC). As this Congress' new Democratic CSC House Vice-Chair, we look forward to working with Representative Walz and other CSC leadership in advancing pro-sportsmen's policies."

The Congressional Sportsmen's Caucus was established in 1989 to promote issues important to millions of hunters and anglers across the country.

Minnesota is home to millions of sportsmen and women who play a large role both in protecting our natural state treasures and revitalizing our state's economy; hunting and fishing retail sales contribute more than $3 billion to Minnesota's economy alone and support nearly 50,000 jobs.
