Having recently experienced a serious medical emergency with one of our children, I have a new found sense of urgency in regards to our current healthcare system. Without question, we enjoy the best healthcare in the world. Our state is blessed to have some of the best medical minds and facilities in the world at our disposal. However, the costs of this healthcare are nothing less than outrageous. I won't pretend to have the solution. I will promise to work diligently with anyone who is genuinely interested in doing the tough work to reform our current system so that first-class medical care is available to anyone who needs it. Our seniors are living longer than ever before which means we have more time to learn from them. Let's join together to make sure EVERYONE enjoys our world-class healthcare.
