Plummer Releases Latest Point in Jobs Plan

Statement

Jason Plummer, Republican Nominee for Illinois' 12th Congressional District, released the 11th point in his 12-point jobs plan this week.

Plummer's latest proposal details his plan to repeal and replace Obamacare. Plummer believes that America needs real healthcare reform, not a government-run system that cuts more than $716 billion from Medicare, raises taxes on middle class families, and puts unelected bureaucrats in the middle of personal decisions.

"Obamacare is the wrong prescription for our country's healthcare woes," Plummer said. "Americans deserve better than a 'one-size-fits-all' healthcare system that raises taxes and raids Medicare funding."

In Congress, Plummer pledges to vote for the repeal of Obamacare and replace it in a transparent manner with legislation that actually lowers costs and allows individuals to purchase healthcare across state lines. Plummer also believes that serious tort reform must be part of any new healthcare legislation.

"Instead of allowing competition from the free market to lower the cost of healthcare, an unelected board of bureaucrats has been given an unprecedented role in healthcare decisions," Plummer added. "As Congressman, I will fight for healthcare reform that is passed in a transparent and bipartisan manner that Congress does not have to 'pass to find out what's in it.'"
