Issues: Unemployed and Low-Income Entitlements and the Safety Net Health Insurance

The health of North Carolina citizens continues to decline. Cuts to Medicaid have been significant and affect the neediest among us. These cuts will have a relevant impact on North Carolina childrens' learning capacity and the health status of the next generation. We must do what is just toward all citizens in North Carolina for a better tomorrow; this includes addressing the lack of funding to serve those families who need and rely on the support of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Abuse Services.
