Statement

Date: April 23, 2012
Location: Little Rock, AR
Issues: Taxes

Congressman Tim Griffin (AR-02), a member of the Congressional Natural Gas Caucus, issued the following statement after meeting with local officials in Conway:

"I remain adamantly opposed to any increase in the severance tax on natural gas. Natural gas is clean-burning, abundant and has fueled our economy and resulted in thousands of new Arkansas jobs. We shouldn't do anything to discourage exploration and put those jobs at risk."
