The current structure of our State government does not allow for efficient management and hinders the ability of our State to react to changing economic conditions and natural disasters. It is time that the Governor and Lt. Governor are elected on the same ticket. Additionally, the citizens of this State should be given the opportunity to decide whether they want additional statewide offices such as the Secretary of Education and State Treasurer to become Cabinet level positions under the control of the Executive Branch.
