Second District Congressional candidate, U.S. Army Reservist and former U.S. Attorney Tim Griffin today issued the following statement to mark the ninth anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks:

"Nine years ago, Americans woke to events and images that will never be forgotten. Our nation was attacked, but we persisted, and our Union, people and spirit remain strong. As we pause to remember the victims of 9/11, we pray for their families. May God continue to bless America and those in uniform who defend and protect us."
