On Monday, Steve Tarvin took time away from campaign activities to thank Congressman Nathan Deal for his service to the people of North Georgia. "My wife, Jennifer, and I thank Congressman Deal and his wife, Sandra, for their service to the 9th Congressional District, but the focus now is on the future of this country."

After the recent announcement of Congressman Deal's resignation, Steve Tarvin reaffirmed his desire to serve the people of North Georgia as their next Congressman, and pursue economic development and job creation for the area.

"I am continuing to ask the voters of the Ninth District of Georgia to send a businessman to Washington. The time for politics is past: it is time for common sense solutions that lower taxes, create jobs, and support our troops. Those are the values of North Georgia and those are the values that Jennifer and I have built our life around."
