As a community college trustee, Bill Rabon is passionate about education. Bill believes that excellent education means a bright future for southeastern North Carolina. Bill supports making our education system one that focuses on preparing the student for the global economy. Bill will fight to pay teachers a competitive salary so North Carolina attracts and retains the best and brightest educators. Bill believes that equipping classrooms with modern technology is essential in closing the digital divide and preparing our students for the competitive economic environment of the 21st Century. Bill knows that we must increase funding for community colleges, which are the economic engine of our state. The worker training programs offered at these institutions are vital if our economy is to adapt, grow and prosper in the future.
