As a veterinarian, Bill Rabon has substantial related experience in the healthcare field. As a State Senator, Bill will commit to achieving greater affordable access to quality healthcare for all North Carolinians. Bill supports medical malpractice reform, so that frivolous lawsuits do not drive up the cost of health insurance. Bill will fight to oppose any attempt to inject government bureaucrats into a patient -- doctor relationship. Bill believes that the state must fully fund Medicaid so the program is sustained. Finally, Bill supports associated health plans, which would enable small businesses to pool their buying power to reduce their insurance premiums.
