Statement by Congressman Jeb Bradley on Veterans's Personal Date Leak

STATEMENT BY CONGRESSMAN JEB BRADLEY ON VETERANS' PERSONAL DATA LEAK

First District Congressman Jeb Bradley, a member of the House Veterans Affairs Committee, issued the following statement today regarding the leak of data at the Veterans Administration that may have compromised the personal information of 26.5 million veterans:

"I am deeply troubled and concerned that nearly 27 million veterans may be affected by a data leak at the VA, in which their personal information may have been compromised. It is important to note, however, that no medical or financial information has been affected. Our veterans have sacrificed so much for our country, and they, like everyone else, deserve to have their personal information kept safe. The FBI and the VA Inspector's Office have launched full-scale investigations into the matter. As a member of the Veterans Affairs Committee, I will be looking for a thorough review of this incident to ensure that veterans' information is protected and that this sort of thing never happens again.
