Rep. Omar Statement on Foreign Aid Supplemental Bills

“Today, I voted against the Israel Security Supplemental. I do not support unconditional military aid that further escalates the already horrific humanitarian situation. It’s unconscionable to provide a blank check to the Israeli military while the genocide of Palestinians continue. I will keep calling for a permanent ceasefire and the release of hostages. The continued escalation of violence and civilian casualties, including many children, is unacceptable. I will always be on the side of peace and human rights.

I also voted to provide Ukraine and Taiwan critical aid. As we support Ukraine in their fight against Russia’s brutal aggression, this bill provides urgently needed support to the Ukrainian people in their fight to preserve their democracy.”
