"Right now, one-third of all National Forest lands are at severe risk of catastrophic wildfires. It is critical that we prevent these destructive wildfires from damaging communities in Wyoming and across the west. That is why I teamed up with Chairman Manchin on the Promoting Effective Forest Management Act. This bill increases and expedites fire mitigation projects and avoids critical staffing shortages in the wildland firefighting workforce."
