Whip Clark Statement on United Auto Workers and Big Three Negotiations

Statement

Date: Sept. 12, 2023
Location: Washington, D.C.
Issues: Labor Unions

"At a time of great income inequality, unions across America's industries are fighting to ensure that working families receive a fair share of the wealth they create. As UAW members fight for the dignity, wages, and economic security they deserve, I urge the Big Three automakers to quickly agree to a fair contract that honors their workers, cultivates safe, respectful workplaces, and helps lead the transition to a clean energy economy.

House Democrats will always stand with our country's labor movement and our mutual goal of growing the economy by growing the middle class."
