"This country has a massive shortage of doctors, nurses, mental health providers, and dentists. We also have a primary care crisis in which millions of Americans are unable to get the health care they need when they need it. Over the past several weeks, Senator Marshall, I, and other HELP committee members have been having very productive conversations about addressing these crises in a bipartisan way and intend to have a major piece of bipartisan legislation ready by the first week of September. The HELP primary care markup scheduled for Wednesday is therefore postponed."
