"This trip will be a critical opportunity to meet with our friends and allies across the Atlantic and discuss the important bilateral economic and security ties shared by the U.S. and our partners in Europe. As Senate Appropriations Chair, I look forward to discussing how we can strengthen our partnerships and seeing firsthand how the investments we make in our nation's diplomatic and military presence abroad make our country--and the world--safer and more prosperous. We must continue working together to strengthen our rules-based international system, counter Russia's aggression, support our Ukrainian allies, and build a brighter future on both sides of the Atlantic--and this visit will inform my work in Congress to do just that."
