"Studies show that students benefit from having at least one teacher who looks like them. For the future success of our young people, we need to encourage more graduates, especially those who come from racial and ethnic minorities, to join the teaching profession. This bill will help create a well-prepared and diverse educator workforce by doubling the TEACH grant program and preventing yearly cuts to the program, helping put more money into the pockets of those who choose the career of teaching."
