Rep. Ted Budd (R-NC) released the following statement opposing the so-called "Inflation Reduction Act":

"At a time when working families across North Carolina are struggling to put food on the table and pay their electric bill, Democrats want to double down on the policies that got us in this mess. This Democrat bill raises taxes in a recession, hires 87,000 new IRS agents to treat regular Americans like tax cheats, and subsidizes the wealthiest Americans to help them afford an electric car while middle class North Carolinians are struggling to afford gas for the car they already have. Bottom line, this bill will make life worse for North Carolinians."
