Moolenaar Votes Against Spending Bill That Fails Michigan Residents

Statement

Date: Sept. 30, 2022

Today, Congressman John Moolenaar voted against legislation that temporarily funds the federal government until December 16.

"This legislation does nothing to address the serious concerns of Michigan families and seniors who are dealing with higher prices for home heating, gas, and food. Inflation is at the highest levels in four decades, supply chain problems continue, and Biden's spending has made all of these problems worse," said Congressman Moolenaar. "We must stop Biden's spending, unleash American energy production and get the country back on track. When Republicans led the House of Representatives, we had a strong economy, low inflation, and affordable energy. We can do this again with a budget that works for American families."
