Date: Sept. 15, 2022
Location: Washington, DC
Issues: Abortion

Today, U.S. Representative Dusty Johnson (R-S.D.) cosponsored legislation introduced by U.S. Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-GA) to prevent funding for President Biden's Executive Order 14076 entitled "Protecting Access to Reproductive Healthcare Services."

"President Biden's Executive Order to identify ways to expand access to abortion is an inappropriate use of his authority," said Johnson. "Expanding access to abortion fails to recognize the valuable life in the womb. Life begins at conception, and even the tiniest of humans deserve the right to life guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution."

E.O. 14076 directs the Department of Health and Human Services to expand access to abortion. It also aims to protect doctors and women who travel for abortions, as well as mobile abortion clinics at state borders.
