Wagner Statement on One Year Anniversary of Kabul Bombing

Congresswoman Ann Wagner (R-MO), Vice Ranking Member of the House Foreign Affairs, released the following statement on the one-year anniversary of the suicide bombing in Kabul, Afghanistan that took the lives of 13 American servicemembers:

"One year ago today, a devastating terror attack in Kabul took the lives of 13 American servicemembers and over 170 Afghans in the wake of President Biden's reckless withdrawal from Afghanistan. Tragically, Wentzville's own Lance Corporal Jared Schmitz lost his life that day while bravely serving his nation. His legacy will live on as we remember his bravery and his patriotism.

"We honor those who lost their lives, as well as all those wounded on that disastrous day. Our investigation into President Biden's withdrawal from Afghanistan and the uncontrolled fallout from that fateful decision will continue until the American people have the answers and transparency they deserve."
