Statement

Date: Sept. 7, 2022
Location: Washington, DC

The Office of Congressman Darrell Issa will host a free online webinar with representatives of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to provide key information about improving and expanding rural internet access throughout the 50th Congressional District. The event will take place September 19, 2022, at 12 pm PT.

"There is no reason why internet access can't be extended to every corner of this country, and this includes the rural regions where so many of our fellow Americans work and live," said Congressman Issa "That's why my team and I are working with the FCC to provide the latest information about new and better ways for constituents to get connected."

The experts from the FCC will join Rep. Issa to discuss two federal programs that aim to increase broadband internet capabilities in areas that have historically had difficulty in getting connected. These programs can be a great resource for rural Californians and others who may need assistance in bringing internet connectivity to their homes.
