U.S. Senator Steve Daines today issued the following statement after the September Producer Price Index (PPI) rose to 8.5% and the Consumer Price Index (CPI) climbed to 8.2% year over year.
"Another month of crushing inflation means another month of Montanans struggling to put food on the table and gas in their pickups. Inflation is a tax on all Montanans, and those who can afford it the least, feel it the most," Daines said. "President Biden and the Democrats need to wake up and put an end to their disastrous policies that are fueling sky-high inflation."
