Thompson Statement on Biden's Announcement to Cancel Student Debt

U.S. Representative Glenn "GT" Thompson (PA-15) released the following statement on President Biden's announcement to cancel student debt:

"Since President Biden took office, more than $200 billion in student debt relief has been provided without Congressional approval. Today's move sets yet another bad precedent. It discounts those who paid their loans, as well as the majority of Americans who do not have student loan debt. Hardworking taxpayers should not bear the cost of Democrats' debt-driving spending spree. Washington liberals are trying to spend their way out of a recession and, in reality, are only fanning the flames of inflation."
