Foxx Assails Biden's Regulatory Assault on Job Creators

Statement

Date: Sept. 6, 2022
Location: Washington, DC

Today, Education and Labor Committee Republican Leader Virginia Foxx (R-NC) issued the following statement criticizing the National Labor Relations Board's (NLRB) proposal to revive the Obama administration's job-killing joint employer standard:

"Businesses across the country have been buried under a mountain of regulatory rubble for more than a year thanks to the Biden administration, but apparently the NLRB thinks that it's best to break out the shovels and pile on more debris. Yet again, they've failed to read the room, and it's costing Americans their livelihoods in the process.

"While the economy is on life support, and the American workforce is huddled in a defensive crouch, the last thing that the NLRB should be entertaining is more regulatory red tape that will undercut clarity and predictability established by the Trump NLRB's joint employer rule. Clearly, the Biden NLRB is devoid of common sense."
