Governor Cooper Signs Three Bills into Law

Today, Governor Roy Cooper signed the following bills into law:

House Bill 332: State Nature and Historic Preserve Adds/Dels
Senate Bill 766: Organized Retail Theft
Senate Bill 455: Conform Hemp with Federal Law
Governor Cooper made the following statement on SB 766:

"Organized store theft is a growing problem in North Carolina, costing consumers and retailers. These stronger penalties should deter thieves and help combat these crimes."

Governor Cooper made the following statement on SB 455:

"Agriculture is North Carolina's largest industry and giving North Carolina farmers certainty that they can continue to participate in this growing market is the right thing to do for rural communities and our economy."
