Senator John Hoeven released the following statement in commemoration of our nation's independence:
"On the Fourth of July, we commemorate the Declaration of Independence and celebrate the birth of our great nation. As we reflect on America's history, we remember and honor the sacrifices made by our veterans, the men and women in uniform, as well as their families and thank all those who continue to serve today. We live in the greatest country in the world, with freedoms and liberties like no other, which are secured throughout the generations by our Armed Forces, and we must not take that for granted. Mikey and I wish everyone a safe and happy Independence Day. Happy birthday, America and God bless."
