Mccollum To Hold Field Hearing On Impact Of American Rescue Plan Dollars In Mn-04 School Districts

Press Release

Congresswoman Betty McCollum (MN-04) will host a field hearing on Tuesday, February 8, to hear testimony from additional school districts within Minnesota's Fourth District on their allocation and use of federal American Rescue Plan dollars. The American Rescue Plan is delivering more than $300 million to school districts in the Fourth District to help keep students, educators, and staff safe and address the academic, social, and emotional challenges they continue to face during this pandemic.

Congresswoman McCollum and Fourth District residents will have the opportunity to hear from witnesses on how American Rescue Plan funds are being spent. Congresswoman McCollum helped pass this comprehensive relief law, which is investing $8.5 billion in Minnesota, to deliver critical aid to local governments, keep essential workers on the job, expand vaccines and testing, extend aid to small businesses and workers, keep schools open and safe for children, and provide support for families in need.
