Tillis Supports Bipartisan Ukraine Aid Package

Today, U.S. Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) released the following statement after voting for the $40 billion aid package to Ukraine:

"The Ukrainian people continue to face Russian aggression and brutality and desperately need our continued support to fight back and win. That's why I voted in favor of the Ukraine assistance package. The United States has a long history of providing support to our allies during times of war and hostility, and this aid package provides critical humanitarian assistance, emergency food assistance, weapons training, and economic support.

"Putin's war reaches well beyond the borders of Ukraine, affecting the whole world, including our own nation. Some parts of the world may soon face famine as a result, which would open the door for terrorist groups to seize power and threaten the safety of Americans. We cannot turn a blind eye to Russia's unprovoked war against Ukraine as he spills the blood of innocent people and threatens the stability of the rest of the world."
