House Appropriations Committee Chair Rosa DeLauro (CT-03) today announced that Jack Rayburn will serve as her Legislative Director. Additionally, King Green will succeed Katelynn Thorpe as personal office Communications Director.

"I am delighted to announce Jack Rayburn as my new Legislative Director and King Green as my new personal office Communications Director," said Congresswoman DeLauro. "Their work ethic, experience, and expertise in the issues facing American families make this duo an excellent fit for our team. The people of Connecticut's Third District gained two highly motivated public servants today. I am thrilled to welcome Jack and King onboard."

"Whatever the issue, Congresswoman DeLauro has an unquestioned reputation as a tireless fighter for the working families of Connecticut and across America," said Jack Rayburn. "She displays the type of leadership that first drew me to public service, and I am delighted to have this opportunity to help her and this fantastic team carry the work forward at this critical moment for our country."

Rayburn most recently served as Director of Legislative Affairs for the Planned Parenthood Federation of America. He previously was Senior Manager of Government Relations for Trust for America's Health and Policy Aide for former U.S. Senator Mark Udall (D-CO). He has a BS in Biology from Georgetown University and MPH from the George Washington University.

"I am excited and honored to join Chair DeLauro's team as her new personal office Communications Director," said King Green. "I began my career on Capitol Hill working for an impassioned advocate for working families in Congressman DeFazio, and I'm thrilled to continue my service on Capitol Hill with one of the fiercest advocates on Capitol Hill, Congresswoman DeLauro. I look forward to serving her office and the people of Connecticut's Third District."

King previously served as House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chair Peter DeFazio's personal office Communications Director. He also previously served on Chair DeFazio's legislative team and helped defend his frontline seat as his campaign Press Secretary in the 2020 election. King hails from Portland, OR, and has an undergraduate degree in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Oregon. He replaces Katelynn Thorpe following her promotion to House Appropriations Committee Communications Director.
