Location: Washington, DC

Today, Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) voted for H.R. 7791, The Access to Baby Formula Act, and H.R. 7790, The Infant Formula Supplemental Appropriations Act, to get formula back on store shelves and provide the Food and Drug Administration with the resources to prevent this shortage from happening again. Earlier this week, Reps. Larson and Castro (TX-20) led almost 150 of their colleagues urging the Biden Administration to continue diligently addressing the formula shortage and treat these products as a priority in supply chain resilience efforts.

"As a father, it is saddening to know parents are frightened they will not be able to feed their children who need formula," said Larson. "Connecticut's own, Reps. Rosa DeLauro and Jahana Hayes, have taken the lead so we can get these products back in the hands of families. I'm proud to vote for emergency funding and WIC flexibilities to address this shortage now and ensure it does not happen in the future."
