Congresswoman Debbie Dingell (MI-12) today applauded Ford's announcement that the company will invest $2 billion and create 3,200 union jobs in Michigan, including at the Rouge Electric Vehicle Center in Dearborn and the Flat Rock Assembly Plant in Michigan's 12th Congressional District. This investment will support production of both electric and internal combustion engine vehicles, such as the F-150 Lightning and an all-new Mustang coupe.

"Michigan's auto workers are the best in the world, and investments like this will ensure that the American auto industry will continue to lead the world in innovation and technology," said Congresswoman Dingell. "Today's announced investment, which will create thousands of good-paying, union jobs in my district, is a testament to the hardworking men and women of the UAW who keep this industry running. Expanding production of the country's top performing electric vehicles is deeply important as we continue our push for electrification nationwide, and it is clear that Ford is committed to building the fleet of the future. I look forward to continuing working with labor, the auto industry, and local leaders to support auto workers and the future of mobility."
